i like the shots from outside that show so succinctly how those palettes could have easily been laying out on the sidewalk. I think the two levels of elevation make it for me. The first, obvious, one of elevating the trash by putting it in the display case is important. Totally changing its value from garbage to art by simply placing it in a space set apart for aesthetic contemplation. But the second level of the tape shadow is done in a monumental way, both in scale shape, and composition; but also in relation to the large history of abstract and minimalist painting.
